Fundraise your way to the Take Action! Academy

This summer’s trips and the Take Action! Academy are getting closer, and we’ve been hearing some great stories from a couple of awesome girls who have fundraised the whole cost for their summer adventures.

Jessica is on her way to Kenya this summer. She was worried when she signed up that she wouldn’t be able to raise enough money, but she has been working hard on fundraising with raffles and auctions. She says, “I found that everybody is willing to help, you just have to ask! I can't wait to meet those who are going on the Kenya trip and good luck to all those who are going on the trip to China!”

Zoe started early, knowing she’d need to do a lot of fundraising to fly to Toronto and attend this summer’s Academy. Zoe has focused her efforts on baking, and by the end of her baking marathon, she raised about $1,600! What does Zoe say about fundraising? “One big thing important about my fundraising was that I tried to make it as easy as possible for the buyer, made sure they realized the money was going towards a good cause, and made sure that they knew that they were getting some pretty good cookies in return for their $25.”
