Join the movement that’s changing the world: National Me to We Day 2008!

Youth participants showcase their Me to We spirit
On October 19, 2007, more than 7,500 student leaders came together for Free The Children’s first ever National Me to We Day, an event celebrating the power of youth to change the world.
The day featured an incredible line-up of speakers, including Roméo Dallaire, Olympian Mark Tewksbury, the cast of Degrassi: The Next Generation and Craig and Marc Kielburger, among others. Inspiring youth to get involved with global action through Free The Children’s Adopt a Village campaign, National Me to We Day was an energy-packed event motivating youth toward active global citizenship.
The energy felt from the event was unstoppable. Young people from across Canada came together to learn about a range of social issues, including the importance of education, women’s rights, the environment and child soldiers. They took this inspiration back to their schools and began their Year of We, a year-long journey to changing the world!
The excitement continues again this year, as Free The Children hosts its second annual National Me to We Day on October 17, 2008. The event promises to be the biggest one-day event of its kind—showcasing the power of young people, even louder and prouder than last year!
Want to join the movement? Register your school for tickets from April 14 to May 30. Seats are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so register early to save your spot!
