Campus in action

Students taking the Graduation Pledge Alliance
At Free The Children, we believe that young people have the knowledge and power to truly make a difference around the world—that they are not just the leaders of tomorrow, but also the leaders of today.
Each day young people around the world are proving us right, including students from the more than 60 universities and colleges taking part in Free The Children’s Adopt a Village campaign throughout North America.
In celebration of the tremendous efforts of these campus change-makers, we have some incredible resources to share. The Campus in Action Toolkit provides university and college students with the information they need to start a chapter at their school. It outlines the application process for establishing a formal club on campus, provides guidelines for holding an event in support of Free The Children and offers tips on organizing awareness and fundraising events—an essential resource for those hoping to take their passion for action to the next level.
Stay tuned for more post-secondary resources to be added to the We Generation soon. In the meantime, check out these other opportunities:
Pledge for social justice
Working in partnership with the Graduation Pledge Alliance, Free The Children invites students at all levels of education to commit to making a difference. Whether it’s choosing courses in school that focus on development, poverty and social issues or seeking out socially responsible jobs after graduation, this simple yet effective campaign has been successfully implemented by hundreds of graduating classes.
Trips
Post-secondary students also have the opportunity to see first-hand the impact of their fundraising by joining Leaders Today on an International Volunteer Trip. These amazing excursions range from the unmatched landscape of Kenya’s Maasai Mara, to rural China and the endless mountainous ranges of Ecuador. There are a variety of different trips this year, including some custom adventures for university and college students. Be sure to check them out!
