Get your students in on the Directors of Change video contest

Hello all you amazing educators!

Having trouble getting your students inspired in the last couple months of school? Well, Directors of Change has an amazing new contest that will keep them interested.

Social justice issues surround and affect all of us every day. We want to get your students’ perspectives on any issue in five minutes or less. This is their chance to have their voices heard!

Young people can document and submit a fiction or non-fiction film in English or French, relating to any social justice issue that gets them fired up. The winning film will be screened at the Young Cuts Film Festival this September. Plus, the winner will receive Avid Xpress Pro editing software.

To enter:

  • Go to www.directorsofchange.com.
  • Click on ‘Create your profile’ (top right of home page) or, for returning members, ‘Login.’
  • Once logged into your profile, click on the contest button (along the right side).
  • Upload your film and save!

Submissions will be accepted until July 15, 2009, and must be no longer than five minutes.
