Make this your Year of We

Look for the “We” hand symbol throughout the Year of We

Join the Year of We, Free The Children's year-long action-packed and action-oriented experience! You'll live the Me to We philosophy as you connect with the global community to create change for a better world.

The Me to We philosophy is about improving our lives and our world by reaching out to others. It involves focusing less on “me” and more on “we”—our communities, our nation and our world. No one is more capable of realizing the Me to We concept than passionate and motivated citizens just like you.

The Year of We will give you the chance to take your learning and apply it to the real world through the most important step—action.

Free The Children’s Adopt a Village program provides the framework for you to get out there and take action. You can take part in the Year of We through self-led awareness and fundraising campaigns for schoolbuilding, clean water wells, health care and alternative income programs.

You can change the world! Every action you take means changed lives in the developing world. Every dollar you raise through the Adopt a Village program or any of our other campaigns (Celebrate for Change, Vow of Silence, Halloween for Hunger, etc.) means a brighter future for a child.

Stay tuned for more information about the Year of We and visit the We Generation to start taking action today. Each step will lead us closer to helping children break the cycle of poverty in the developing world.

Year of We…join the movement.
