Get ready to Take More Action! with Matt Tod and the tour team

Matt Tod storing energy in anticipation of the upcoming Take More Action! tour

Hey Change Makers!

We’re super-excited to be kicking off the Take More Action! tour this year with a focus on community volunteerism. We want to leave youth with tangible ways that young people can get involved in their communities. By sharing our own personal stories and providing information on both local and global issues, we hope audiences will be able to feel how passionate we are and learn how important it is to get involved in our local communities in order to create change around the world.

I am so thrilled to be one of the speakers for the Take More Action! tour this school year. For me, this is an incredible opportunity to travel around North America to meet and be inspired by as many youth as possible. Through leadership skill training, issues education and a whole lot of good times, our goal is to be able to provide youth with the tools and encouragement they need to become active members of their communities, as well as recognize the connection we can make to the global community through volunteering locally.

Getting ready for Take More Action! has been both exciting and challenging. We’re looking forward to meeting incredible young people who are already motivating others and inspiring positive change. I can’t wait to hear about all of the creative ways that you get involved!

I’ve shared with you all some of our goals for the tour, but I haven’t told you any of my own personal goals for this year. So here they are, in no particular order:

  1. To make sure that everyone in the audience will laugh AT LEAST FIVE times during our presentation.
  2. Take a lot of photos of the amazing places we’re going to be visiting (especially the Canadian Prairies).
  3. To make sure that no matter where we are or what we’re doing, the most important thing is to make sure that we’re always having FUN!!
  4. To find as many new words for “excited” as possible and use them.
  5. To increase my supply of magic tricks (which is currently at . . . one).

I can’t wait to meet you on the road,

MattT
